Job Summary

Globant is looking for a skilled and motivated Java Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain scalable enterprise applications and REST APIs. The candidate will work with Java, Spring Boot, SQL databases, and modern software development practices to build reliable and maintainable applications.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Java development, API integration, object-oriented programming, database fundamentals, and unit testing. The candidate will collaborate with engineering, QA, and product teams in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications and enterprise software components.
- Spring Boot Development: Build scalable backend services and REST APIs using Spring Boot and related Java frameworks.
- API Integration: Develop, integrate, test, and maintain RESTful APIs to support communication between applications and services.
- Clean Code Development: Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and testable code following established coding standards and software design principles.
- Object-Oriented Programming: Apply object-oriented programming concepts, data structures, algorithms, and appropriate design patterns to solve technical problems.
- Database Management: Work with SQL databases to write queries, retrieve and update data, and support application data operations.
- Unit Testing:



Develop and execute unit tests using JUnit and Mockito to verify application functionality and improve code reliability.
- Debugging and Troubleshooting: Identify, analyze, and resolve software defects, application errors, and technical issues.
- Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Version Control: Use Git for source code management, branching, merging, and collaborative development.
- Agile Collaboration: Work with developers, QA engineers, business analysts, and product teams in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Performance Optimization: Identify performance bottlenecks and improve application efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
- Production Support: Investigate production issues, analyze logs, troubleshoot defects, and support timely resolution of application incidents.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare and maintain technical documentation related to application design, APIs, testing, and implementation.
- Continuous Improvement: Learn recent technologies, improve development practices, and contribute to the continuous enhancement of software solutions.

Candidate Requirements
- Relevant qualified experience in Java software development.
- Hands-on experience with Java 8, Java 11, or later versions.
- Strong understanding of Spring Boot and REST API development.
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts, data structures, and algorithms.
- Working knowledge of SQL, relational databases, and database fundamentals.
- Experience with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative version control workflows.




- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and software development life cycles.
- Ability to debug applications and troubleshoot technical issues.

Work Environment The Java Developer will work in a collaborative software engineering environment alongside developers, QA engineers, architects, and product teams. The role involves backend development, API integration, database operations, testing, debugging, and participation in Agile development cycles. Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate is a technically strong and detail-oriented software developer with practical experience in Java and Spring Boot. They should be capable of developing scalable backend applications, building reliable REST APIs, writing unit tests, troubleshooting complex issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality enterprise software solutions.

Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,800,000.00 per year
