Role Description The International Education Counselor is a full time, hybrid role based in Chandigarh, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. The role involves providing individualized student counseling on study abroad options, including program selection, country and university choices, and admissions requirements. The counselor will guide students through the application lifecycle, helping manage documentation, deadlines, scholarship options, and visa-related questions in coordination with internal teams.

Daily responsibilities include conducting consultations (in-person and virtual),



organizing information sessions and webinars, maintaining accurate student records on the platform, and following up with prospective students to support their decision-making. The counselor will also collaborate with universities and colleagues to ensure smooth communication, uphold service standards, and contribute to outreach and awareness activities related to global education opportunities.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Student Counseling and Educational Consulting skills, with experience guiding learners through study abroad or higher education pathways.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, including clear spoken and written communication and the ability to explain complex processes in an accessible way.
- Candidates should possess Career Counseling and Education-related expertise, enabling informed discussions about academic programs, career outcomes, and global education trends.
- Candidates should ideally have experience in international admissions, study abroad advising, or related roles, and familiarity with destinations such as the UK and Canada.
- Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Education, Counseling, Psychology, International Relations, or a related field, along with strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
