Role & responsibilities

- Operation, Service, Repairs, Preventive &
- Predictive Maintenance of Mechanical utilities like Central Air Conditioning Plants, Water Pumping System &
- Sewage / Drainage Pumping System, Central Medical Gases System & related equipments.

- Operation and Maintenance of Water Heating (Solar/Wood Fire/Gas Fire) Systems.

- Mechanical Maintenance &

- Repairs of Elevators/Lift, Medical equipment’s, D.G.Sets,

- Service, Repairs &

- Maintenance of vehicles including ambulances.

- Do the process/follow up the concern vendor- Renewal and new license of lift, GPCB,LMO plant other relevant government satutarory approval of MEPF services.

- Service, Repairs &

- Maintenance of cetral chiler plant, VRV system, spilt ac and Dx unit, MGPS system, HVAC system with Hepa filter and MGPS gas validation work.

- Brief knowldge in Design, Installation & commissioning of HVAC system, WTP plant, MGPS, firefighnting system, electrical substataion and equipment as per IS/CPWD/NABH/JCI.

- Service, Repairs &

- Maintenance of Water Treatment plants (i.e. Softening plants, D.M. Water plant, R.O. plants, clorination plantetc)

- To work as a team leader, overseeing/supervision and execution of the work in respective section.

- To provide guidance & conduct in-house training for subordinates.

- To maintain Indoor Air Quality' and 'Treated Water Quality' as per required standards by proper services & quality checks for related plants and equipments as per IS/CPWD/NABH/JCI.

- Maintenance includes carrying out periodic calibration &

- Testing for accuracy and safety all.

- Maintaining all the records as per NABL/NABH standards/JCI requirements.

- To prepare and implement Preventive Maintenance Plans/Schedules to ensure maximum up time of the equipments.

- To prepare operator's guide lines, Do's &

- Don'ts, safety instruction sheets for users. Providing training to the users for proper handling of medical equipments.

- Providing safety training to the users for all the installations,



to ensure safe working conditions throughout the hospital with regards to medical equipments/HVAC system/WTP plants.

- To conduct Installation &

- Commissioning of new equipments including inspection of incoming material & spares.

- To ensure that all the utilities, plants & equipments used throughout the hospital are safe & sound
- To maintain break-down registers and history cards right from installation & commissioning reports up to condemnation of the equipment,

- To prepare capital and revenue budget for annual budget and monitor the expenses continuously.

- To undertake renovation works of installations as well as that for minor/major project works.

- To prepare technical proposals and estimates for recent works to be under taken, followed by preparation of work orders, supervision of work in progress up to certification and settlement of final bills.

- Planning &

- Scheduling: To prepare activity charts/bar-charts and monitoring the Progress.

- To assist different inspections like pollution control, safety, elevators etc & to observe statutory liabilities towards the same. To monitor & control inventory of spares & materials required for routine maintenance.

- To assist in preparation of different types of service contracts, tender and agreement of AMCS/CMC any system
- To monitor and execute the contracts and to take necessary corrective actions. To prioritize tasks, demonstrate initiative, planning the activities, time & manpower utilization and cost containment.

- To ensure 24 X 7 on call service support to hospital operations
- To achieve departmental performance indicators and service levels.

- To work towards achieving organizational goals, missions, policy and standards. To maintain discipline and professional appearance, answer to phone calls in manner, provide necessary information and guidance to the users
- In addition to all above work, they have to follow instructions of the Manager Maintenance time to time and that work to be done as a part of support services to the hospital.
