SUMA Rührtechnik GmbH was founded in 1957 in Sulzberg, Germany. The company builds agitators and pumps for the biogas, industrial and agricultural sectors. More than 200 employees work at five locations worldwide, and around 67 % of revenue comes from exports. To expand our position in India, we are looking for an experienced sales leader based in our Pune office.

Your responsibilities

1. Market strategy: Develop and implement the sales strategy for India across the biogas/CBG, industrial and agricultural segments. This includes revenue targets, budget planning and forecasting.
2. Team leadership: Build, lead and develop the Indian sales organisation, covering direct sales and the distributor and agent network.
3. Key account and project business: Acquire and manage key accounts such as plant developers, EPC contractors, OEMs and industrial end users, from first contact to order.
4. Tenders and negotiations: Take responsibility for tenders, quotations, pricing and contract negotiations,



working closely with application engineering and product management at headquarters in Germany.
5. Market intelligence and reporting: Analyse competitors, market trends and regulatory developments. Maintain CRM discipline and report KPIs regularly to management.

Your profile

1. Degree in engineering (mechanical, chemical or process) or in business administration with a strong technical background.
2. At least approx. 10 years of B2B sales experience in capital goods or process equipment (e.g. pumps, agitators, process technology), including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
3. An established network in the Indian biogas/CBG, wastewater, process industry or EPC setting.
4. A proven track record of revenue growth, strong negotiation skills and a structured, data-driven way of working.
5. Business-fluent English (Hindi and/or Marathi is an advantage), intercultural competence, and willingness to travel extensively within India and occasionally to Germany.
