Role Description The Head of Purchasing is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Hyderabad Area, responsible for overseeing all procurement and purchasing activities for the company’s projects and operations. This role manages end-to-end purchasing processes, including vendor selection, supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, and purchase order approval to ensure timely availability of materials and services. The Head of Purchasing collaborates closely with project, engineering, production, and finance teams to align procurement plans with project schedules, quality standards, and budget requirements.





Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring inventory levels, optimizing procurement costs, maintaining supplier relationships, and resolving delivery or quality issues. The role also involves developing purchasing policies, implementing best practices in supply chain management, and using data and reports to drive continuous improvement in procurement efficiency and compliance.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong expertise in Purchasing Processes and Purchasing to manage end-to-end procurement activities effectively.
- Candidates should possess skills in Procurement and Supply Chain Management to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality-focused sourcing of materials and services.
- Candidates should possess advanced Supplier Negotiation skills to secure favorable terms, maintain strategic vendor relationships, and support long-term partnerships.
- Relevant experience in construction, engineering, manufacturing, or pre-engineered buildings, preferably in a leadership or managerial purchasing role.
- Strong analytical, budgeting, and cost-control abilities, with proficiency in using ERP or procurement software and MS Excel for reporting and decision-making.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and mentor purchasing staff.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification or skilled certification in supply chain or procurement (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is an advantage.
