About the Role

Ista Spaces is looking for an experienced Head – Civil Engineering to oversee and coordinate civil engineering and construction activities across its projects. The candidate will be responsible for managing engineers and site teams, coordinating with contractors and consultants, monitoring construction progress, and ensuring quality standards and project timelines are met.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee civil engineering and construction activities across Ista Spaces projects.
- Lead, guide, and coordinate with project engineers, site engineers, supervisors, and technical teams.
- Monitor day-to-day construction activities and ensure execution as per approved drawings, specifications, and timelines.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, architects, consultants, and vendors.
- Conduct regular site visits to review construction progress, workmanship, manpower, and material requirements.
- Ensure construction milestones are achieved within planned timelines.
- Identify and resolve technical issues, execution challenges, and site-related concerns.
- Monitor the quality of structural, civil, and finishing works.
- Coordinate with design and architectural teams to resolve drawing discrepancies and technical requirements.
- Monitor contractor performance, workforce productivity, and work quality.
- Review BOQs, measurements, material consumption, and construction costs.
- Coordinate material planning and procurement requirements to minimize delays and wastage.




- Maintain project documentation, site records, and regular progress reports.
- Ensure compliance with applicable construction standards, safety practices, and statutory requirements.
- Conduct periodic review meetings with engineers and contractors.
- Report project progress, delays, challenges, and resource requirements to senior management.
- Take ownership of engineering operations and ensure timely completion of assigned projects.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
- 6–10 years of relevant experience in civil construction, project execution, or real estate development.
- Experience in residential construction, preferably villas, plotted developments, or housing projects.
- Proven ability to coordinate and manage engineers, site supervisors, and contractors.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, site execution, quality control, and project planning.
- Understanding of BOQs, estimation, quantity surveying, measurements, and project costing.
- Robust leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple site activities and ensure timely project execution.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
