Role & responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end materials management, including material planning, procurement, inventory control, warehousing and logistics.

- Ensure timely material availability to meet production schedules and business requirements.

- Drive inventory optimization, working capital reduction and material cost efficiency.

- Manage supplier relationships, vendor development, negotiations and supplier performance.

- Oversee MRP, demand forecasting, material scheduling and shortage management.

- Coordinate with production, procurement, quality, finance and other cross-functional teams.

- Implement process improvements, cost-reduction initiatives and supply chain optimization strategies.

- Monitor key performance indicators related to inventory, material availability, supplier performance and on-time delivery.

Preferred candidate profile

- 15+ years of experience in Materials Management, Supply Chain,



Procurement or Inventory Management within manufacturing or engineering industries.

- Strong expertise in material planning, MRP, demand forecasting, inventory optimization and production planning.

- Proven experience in supplier management, strategic sourcing, vendor development and commercial negotiations.

- Demonstrated ability to reduce material costs, optimize working capital and ensure uninterrupted material availability.

- Hands-on experience with SAP/ERP systems and materials management processes.

- Experience leading teams and managing cross-functional stakeholders in a manufacturing workplace.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making and leadership skills
