About the Opportunity

We are hiring on behalf of our client, a fast-growing D2C startup in the beauty and personal care space (client name confidential at this stage), for a Head - Human Resources based in Mumbai. This is a full-ownership mandate to drive the people agenda across corporate functions at a business in an active expansion phase - an opportunity to build culture, capability and talent systems from the front.

Location: Mumbai (candidates open to a Delhi NCR base may also be considered)

About the Role

As Head - Human Resources, you will lead the people agenda across corporate functions including marketing, sales and growth. The mandate spans building a high-performance culture, running talent acquisition at the pace a scaling business demands, developing leaders and succession pipelines, and strengthening the employer brand and organisational capability for the next stage of growth.

Key Responsibilities

Culture & Performance Management

- Build a high-performance culture through robust KRAs, KPIs and talent practices
- Design and embed performance management frameworks that link individual goals to business outcomes
- Strengthen organisational capability to support the company's expansion stage

Talent Acquisition

- Lead talent acquisition across corporate functions, with a focus on both speed and quality of hire




- Build and manage key partnerships with external agencies and search partners to support the expansion stage
- Own workforce planning and hiring strategy in line with business growth plans

Leadership Development & Succession

- Lead succession planning and leadership development initiatives across the organisation
- Identify and develop high-potential talent, building depth in the leadership bench

HR Operations & Business Partnering

- Oversee HR operations across multiple corporate functions including marketing, sales and growth
- Partner with functional heads as a trusted advisor on organisation design, team structure and people decisions
- Ensure HR policies, processes and systems are fit for a fast-scaling environment

Employer Brand & Employee Engagement

- Strengthen the employer brand to attract top talent in a competitive D2C market
- Drive employee engagement initiatives that support retention and a strong sense of belonging

What We Are Looking For

- 10+ years of relevant experience in Human Resources, with time spent in a corporate HR leadership capacity
- A blend of structured FMCG / consumer corporate HR exposure and hands-on experience in the startup world
- A proven track record in talent acquisition, including building and managing key partnerships with external agencies
- Demonstrated ability to build a high-performance culture through KRAs, KPIs and talent practices
- Experience leading succession planning and leadership development initiatives
- Strong business partnering skills across commercial functions such as marketing, sales and growth
- The agility and ownership to operate in a quick-growing, expansion-stage environment

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior experience with D2C, beauty, personal care or consumer brands
- Experience scaling an HR function through a high-growth or expansion phase
