About the Role

Esprit Stones Limited is looking for an experienced and strategic Head – Assurance to lead the Group’s Governance, Risk Management, Compliance, and Internal Audit functions. The role will be responsible for strengthening internal controls, ensuring regulatory compliance, identifying business risks, and establishing robust assurance practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

- Assurance Strategy: Develop and implement the Assurance function’s strategy, operating model, and risk mitigation framework.
- Internal Audit: Oversee internal audit processes, review audit quality, monitor observations, and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
- Corporate Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to corporate governance principles, statutory requirements, and internal policies. Escalate critical risks and sensitive issues to senior leadership.
- Enterprise Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate operational, financial, compliance, and fraud-related risks across the Group.
- Fraud Prevention & Internal Controls: Strengthen fraud prevention mechanisms, implement effective controls, and develop policies and procedures to minimize business exposure.
- Audit Partner Management: Monitor external/internal audit service providers, evaluate performance, and ensure quality and timely delivery.
- Leadership & Team Development: Build and lead a high-performing Assurance team through coaching, performance management,



capability development, and succession planning.
- Continuous Improvement: Leverage ERP systems, audit software, and risk management tools to enhance audit effectiveness and business intelligence.

Eligibility Criteria
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent qualification, preferably with a postgraduate degree.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in Assurance, Internal Audit, Risk Management, Governance, or Compliance, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in the building materials, manufacturing, or a similar industry is preferred.
- Strong understanding of corporate governance, regulatory compliance, enterprise risk management, and internal control frameworks.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing assurance and risk management programs in mid-sized manufacturing organizations.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems, audit software, and risk management tools.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- High standards of integrity, ethics, accountability, and organizational leadership.
