Head / Senior Leader – IT Infrastructure & Operations

Role Purpose To provide strategic and hands-on leadership for IT infrastructure and operations across Gokaldas Exports Limited. The role will ensure secure, scalable, resilient, and reliable technology services across corporate offices and manufacturing facilities, enabling business continuity, operational efficiency, and organisational growth.

Key Responsibilities

- IT Infrastructure & Architecture

- Design, implement, and maintain resilient IT infrastructure across servers, storage, virtualisation, hybrid cloud, and end-user computing.
- Lead the planning and execution of IT infrastructure rollouts for new factories and facilities, ensuring seamless integration with corporate systems.
- Oversee the architecture, configuration, and optimisation of LAN, WAN, VPN, firewalls, and wireless networks.
- Ensure infrastructure scalability, performance, availability, and alignment with business requirements.

2. IT Operations & Service Delivery
- Lead IT infrastructure and service desk operations in accordance with ITIL best practices.
- Establish, monitor, and improve Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and operational performance metrics.
- Ensure high availability of critical IT services across manufacturing plants, offices, and other business locations.
- Drive incident, problem, change, and service request management to minimise business disruption.
- Establish effective escalation mechanisms and ensure timely resolution of critical infrastructure issues.

3. Information Security, Audit & Compliance
- Drive IT General Controls (ITGC) compliance, audit readiness, and timely closure of corrective actions.
- Strengthen IT security governance, access controls, vulnerability management, and cyber incident preparedness.
- Ensure robust backup, business continuity, and disaster recovery plans, including regular testing across locations.
- Establish and enforce infrastructure policies, standards,



and controls in line with organisational and regulatory requirements.

4. Vendor & Financial Management
- Manage IT infrastructure vendors, service providers, and technology partners, ensuring adherence to contractual, commercial, and service commitments.
- Develop and manage the IT infrastructure and operations budget.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimisation while maintaining service quality, security, and reliability.
- Evaluate technology investments based on business value, total cost of ownership, and return on investment.

5. Team Leadership & Continuous Improvement
- Lead, mentor, and develop the IT infrastructure and operations team, fostering accountability and service ownership.
- Establish clear performance expectations, operational responsibilities, and development plans.
- Drive automation, standardisation, and continuous improvement across IT operations.
- Evaluate and adopt proven emerging technologies to enhance operational efficiency, resilience, and scalability.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and business stakeholders to align IT strategy with organisational priorities.

Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Professional certifications such as CCNP, ITIL, CISA, or relevant cloud certifications will be an added advantage.

Required Experience
- Minimum 18 years of experience in IT infrastructure and operations, including at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-wide IT infrastructure.
- Demonstrated experience in establishing and scaling IT infrastructure for manufacturing facilities or factory environments.
- Solid experience in managing multi-location IT operations, business continuity, disaster recovery, and IT service delivery.




- Experience in ITGC audits, information security governance, vendor management, and budget ownership.
- Exposure to hybrid cloud environments and enterprise networking infrastructure.

Technical Skills
- Infrastructure Management: Enterprise servers, storage, virtualisation, endpoints, and hybrid cloud architecture.
- Networking: Advanced LAN/WAN, VPN, firewall management, wireless networking, and network optimisation.
- Cloud Platforms: Working knowledge of AWS, Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- IT Service Management: ITIL frameworks, SLA management, incident management, problem management, and change management.
- Security & Compliance: ITGC audits, IT security governance, cyber readiness, access controls, and audit remediation.
- Business Continuity: Backup management, disaster recovery planning, high availability, and recovery testing.
- Financial & Vendor Management: IT budgeting, cost optimisation, contract management, and service provider governance.

Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will be a seasoned IT infrastructure and operations leader with substantial experience managing enterprise technology environments, preferably within manufacturing or garment export organisations. The candidate should have a proven track record of establishing reliable IT infrastructure across multiple factories and corporate locations, maintaining high service availability, strengthening cybersecurity and audit compliance, and optimising IT expenditure.

The individual must be decisive under pressure, commercially astute, and capable of communicating effectively with senior leadership while ensuring strong execution at the operational level. A hands-on leadership approach, strong team-building capabilities, and a commitment to security, service reliability, and continuous improvement are essential.
