GDA – Roles and Responsibilities

- Assist patients with bathing, dressing, eating, and personal hygiene.
- Help patients walk, sit, stand, and move from one place to another.
- Keep patients’ beds and surrounding areas clean and comfortable.
- Help nursing staff in daily patient care as instructed.
- Assist patients with washroom use and changing clothes.
- Report any patient problem or emergency to the nursing staff immediately.
- Follow hand hygiene, cleanliness, and infection-control rules.
- Maintain patient privacy, safety, and respectful behaviour.
- Follow duty timings and instructions from the nursing in-charge.




- Treat every patient politely and perform all assigned duties responsibly.

Qualification for GDA (General Duty Assistant) – Hospital
- Minimum Education: 10th pass (preferable).
- Training: GDA / Nursing Assistant course/Experiance is preferred
- Experience: Fresher can apply.
- Skills: Basic patient care, cleanliness, helping nurses, and good communication.
