About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer to develop and maintain web applications across a multi-application technology platform.

The role requires strong hands-on development experience across PHP, CodeIgniter, Angular, React, MySQL, and REST APIs. The engineer will work on existing production applications as well as new modules, features, and platform capabilities.

The successful candidate should be comfortable understanding large codebases, developing full stack features, debugging complex application issues, and supporting production systems.

This is a hands-on engineering role with a robust focus on coding, debugging, performance, and application reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Full Stack Application Development

- Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications using PHP, CodeIgniter, Angular, and React.
- Develop backend services and REST APIs for web and mobile applications.
- Build reusable frontend components, services, and application modules.
- Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs and data services.
- Implement application features from technical and functional requirements.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable production code.
- Understand and work effectively with existing large application codebases.

Backend & API Development
- Develop backend applications and APIs using PHP and CodeIgniter.
- Design secure and maintainable REST APIs.
- Implement authentication, authorization, input validation, and session-management workflows.
- Write reusable services and backend components.
- Implement structured exception handling and application logging.




- Diagnose and resolve backend performance and application issues.
- Apply secure coding practices, including SQL injection prevention and appropriate data validation.

Frontend Development Develop web applications using Angular and/or React.

Build reusable UI components and frontend services.

Implement API integrations and application state handling.

Handle null, optional, incomplete, and partially available API data correctly.

Implement loading, error, empty-state, and fallback behaviours.

Diagnose frontend rendering and API integration issues.

Optimize frontend application performance and network usage.

Ensure browser compatibility and responsive application behaviour.

Database & Application Performance

Write and optimize SQL queries used by applications.

Understand relational database schemas and application data relationships.

Work with Stored Procedures and database-driven application workflows.

Identify inefficient queries and excessive database calls.

Collaborate with database engineers to resolve complex database performance issues.

Diagnose application performance issues across frontend, API, and database layers.

AWS & Application Deployment

Work with applications hosted on AWS EC2, RDS, and S3.

Support application deployments across development, UAT, and production environments.

Troubleshoot application and database connectivity issues in AWS environments.

Work with environment-specific application configuration and credentials.

Support CI/CD and deployment automation processes.

Follow defined deployment, rollback, and production release procedures.

Production Support & Troubleshooting

Diagnose production issues across frontend, backend, API, and database layers.

Analyse application logs and error information to identify root causes.





Support high-load and live-event production systems.

Troubleshoot scheduled jobs, APIs, and data-processing workflows.

Identify failures where applications are available but data is incomplete, stale, or incorrectly displayed.

Implement permanent fixes for recurring technical issues.

Document significant production issues and technical resolutions.

Engineering Practices & Collaboration

Participate in peer code reviews and technical discussions.

Follow coding, branching, and deployment standards.

Work closely with QA, database, infrastructure, and product teams.

Write unit and integration tests for critical application functionality.

Maintain technical and API documentation.

Use GenAI-assisted engineering tools responsibly for development, debugging, test generation, and documentation.

Review and validate AI-generated code before production use.

Required Technical Skills & Experience

5–8 years of hands-on full stack development experience.

Strong experience with PHP and CodeIgniter or a comparable PHP MVC framework.

Strong experience with Angular and/or React.

Strong JavaScript and TypeScript development skills.

Good understanding of REST API design and integration.

Strong SQL and relational database fundamentals.

Experience working with MySQL.

Ability to independently debug issues across frontend, backend, API, and database layers.

Experience working with Git and structured development workflows.

Working experience with AWS-hosted applications.

Experience supporting production applications.

Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Ability to understand and work with large existing application codebases.

Good to Have

Strong Angular experience.

Experience with real-time or live-data applications.

Experience with high-frequency data updates and data feeds.

Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.

Experience with AWS EC2, RDS, and S3.

Exposure to cron-based or scheduled data-processing workflows.

Exposure to AI, NLP, or LLM-powered application integrations.

Experience using Claude Code or equivalent AI coding agents.

Experience with video or media-processing applications.
