What You'll Do

- Build from the ground up:

Develop and scale SyncUp's mobile application for Android and iOS using React Native.

- Own the product experience:

Translate product ideas and designs into rapid, intuitive, and reliable mobile experiences.

- Work closely with the founders:

Collaborate directly with the founding team to make technical and product decisions.

- Integrate AI-powered features:

Build seamless mobile experiences for AI-driven job discovery, candidate matching, and professional networking.

- Drive technical architecture:

Make decisions around app architecture, state management, performance, and scalability.

- Ship fast, iterate faster:

Take features from idea to production, gather feedback, and continuously improve the product.

- Build for scale:

Ensure the app is performant, secure, maintainable, and ready to support a growing user base.

- Take end-to-end ownership:

Handle development, testing, debugging, releases, and ongoing improvements.

What We're Looking For

- Strong hands-on experience with

React Native and JavaScript/TypeScript

.

- Experience building and shipping mobile applications for Android and/or iOS.

- Solid understanding of REST APIs, asynchronous programming, state management, and mobile app architecture.

- Experience integrating APIs, authentication, push notifications, analytics, and third-party SDKs.





- Familiarity with Git, debugging, performance optimization, and app deployment.

- A product-first mindset—you care about what you're building, not just the code.

- Someone who can work independently, make decisions, and move quickly in a startup environment.

- A builder's mentality: comfortable with ambiguity, experimentation, and taking complete ownership.

Bonus Points

- Experience taking a mobile app from 0 to 1.

- Familiarity with AI-powered products, LLM integrations, or recommendation systems.

- Experience with Firebase, real-time features, chat, or social networking applications.

- Experience publishing and maintaining apps on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

- Previous experience at an early-stage startup or as an early engineering hire.
