About HALBEX

HALBEX is building a B2B global export marketplace focused exclusively on halal FMCG food products, connecting verified Indian suppliers with international buyers.

Our vision is to develop a trusted, technology-enabled export ecosystem built around product compliance, seller verification, international trade documentation and coordinated logistics operations.

We are looking for an experienced Food Export Compliance qualified who can build this function from the ground up, establish reliable operating systems, and eventually lead a dedicated team.

This is not a conventional managerial position. We are looking for a hands-on founding leader who can build the foundation before building the team.

- Mandatory Experience

Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience, including substantial hands-on experience in Indian food and agricultural export compliance.

Practical experience in the following product categories is highly relevant:

- Rice and Basmati Rice
- Pulses, Grains and Millets
- Spices and Spice Powders
- Cooking Oils and related food products
- Fresh Fruits and Vegetables
- Frozen Meat and Poultry
- Fish and Seafood

Candidates must demonstrate practical knowledge of:
- HS/ITC-HS classification and product identification.
- Indian food-export requirements and export documentation.
- Destination-country import regulations and product compliance.
- Product certifications, regulatory documentation and shipment requirements.
- Coordination with exporters, customs brokers, freight forwarders and relevant inspection or certification bodies.

Key: General logistics, supply-chain management or non-food EXIM experience alone will not meet the core requirements of this position. Demonstrable food-export compliance experience is essential.
- Your Core Responsibilities

A. Build HALBEX's Global Food Export Compliance Framework
- Develop and maintain an evidence-backed product-country compliance database across HALBEX's approved destination-country network.
- Research applicable regulations using official government and regulatory sources.
- Record source details, applicability, verification status and outstanding questions.
- Establish documented compliance review, approval, rejection and corrective-action procedures.
- Ensure that unverified information is never represented as confirmed compliance.

B. Establish Product and Seller Operations
- Build and maintain the product master and documentation standards.
- Develop procedures for Indian seller onboarding and product submissions.




- Establish a structured process for reviewing seller documents and product compliance evidence.
- Ensure product-country listings are activated only after the required checks and authorised approvals.
- Maintain traceable records of decisions, exceptions and corrective actions.

C. Develop the International Logistics Network
- Identify, assess and onboard suitable freight forwarders, customs brokers and logistics service providers.
- Develop vendor verification, quotation and performance-review procedures.
- Establish shipment-documentation workflows and logistics milestone tracking.
- Define responsibilities for export documentation, shipping coordination and destination clearance.
- Develop procedures supporting HALBEX's managed, blind-shipment trade model, subject to verified legal, carrier and operational requirements.

D. Build and Lead Your Own Department

During the initial phase, you must personally build the compliance data, operational processes and logistics partner network.

As HALBEX grows, you will develop the department structure, recruit and train suitable personnel, define responsibilities and performance standards, and lead the team.

- Your First Six Months The first six months will focus on establishing a reliable operational foundation.

Priority outcomes

- Review HALBEX's existing product catalogue and identify compliance-data gaps.
- Build prioritised, evidence-backed product-country compliance records.
- Establish documented compliance verification and product approval workflows.
- Develop seller onboarding and product documentation procedures.
- Build an initial, verified logistics partner network for priority products and routes.
- Prepare operational SOPs, reporting procedures and escalation processes.
- Propose a phased recruitment plan and department structure.
- Prepare an operational-readiness assessment identifying verified controls, outstanding gaps and risks.

Compliance coverage will be developed progressively across HALBEX's approved destination markets, prioritising the initial launch countries and selected product categories.

Quality, accuracy and traceability matter more than the number of records completed.

The candidate must be comfortable working independently,



researching complex requirements, verifying evidence and taking responsibility for the quality of the resulting systems.

- Founding Leadership & Equity Opportunity For the right candidate, HALBEX may consider a 2%–4% equity participation opportunity, based on the agreed scope of responsibility, commitment, demonstrated contribution, milestones and long-term involvement.

Compensation, working arrangements, approved expense reimbursement and any future salary structure will be discussed transparently with shortlisted candidates before any commitment is made.
