Role Description The Food and Beverage Captain is a full time, on-site role based at Nincasa in the Pune District. This role oversees daily food and beverage service operations, including coordinating floor staff, ensuring tables are properly set, and monitoring service flow during busy shifts. The Food and Beverage Captain supports the team in delivering consistent, high-quality service, addresses guest inquiries or concerns in real time, and promotes menu items and specials.

The role involves maintaining service standards, coordinating with the kitchen and bar, managing reservations and seating plans,



and assisting with training and mentoring service staff. The Food and Beverage Captain also helps uphold hygiene, safety, and compliance guidelines and contributes to a welcoming, guest-focused environment.

Qualifications

- Strong supervisory skills with experience leading or coordinating front-of-house teams.
- Proficiency in maintaining service standards and quality control in food and beverage operations.
- Hands-on experience in food service, including order taking, table management, and coordination with kitchen and bar.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to handle guest feedback and resolve issues promptly.
- Clear and professional communication skills for interacting with guests and team members.
- Previous experience in restaurants, bars, or microbreweries is preferred.
- Knowledge of basic food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Formal training in hospitality or hotel management is an advantage.
