Summary

The role of the R&D; Sr. Officer is to support the brand owners in assigned projects under R&D; PDM GP HH. Based within the R&D; structure the role is positioned to support development and help in bringing compliance from both quality and regulatory aspects to Surface Care/Home Care brands for SOA.

The role is based out of Gurgaon, India within the R&D; facility under PDM.

The role reports to R&D; Senior Associate who in turn reports to the R&D; Manager.

Role & responsibilities

- Knowledge of basic laboratory techniques for working at the bench, understanding or interest in chemistry, hydrocarbon solvent, surfactant, or related science.
- Ability to interpret results from lab tests, conduct performance studies and analyse/evaluate competitive products
- Maintain supplies inventory and order items when needed
- Utilize formulation and technical skills to develop and test new products/existing products, develop technologies that benefits the consumers and address relevant consumer needs in support of brand initiatives
- Read, understand, and apply relevant SOP / ISO protocols with regards to data generation for product registration for submission to local Regulatory authorities. Proper operation, standardization & maintenance of lab equipment.



Maintaining accurate laboratory notebooks, following Safety and Valuable Housekeeping requirements.
- Incorporate Category Quality requirements into plans, ensuring compliance within the team
- Enforce quality mind by Right first time practice for working in area by following documented procedures & follow good documentation practice
- Be aware, accountable for safety, health & workplace in workplace all time to ensure accident free & good environment/area of working

Preferred candidate profile

- Masters degree in science/ Engineering/Pharmacy.
- 1-5 years of experience in a similar role, relevant experience in FMCG is preferred.
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Organizational skills and problem-solving skills
- Oral communication skills to effectively provide feedback to cross-functional project teams or immediate supervisor
- Written communication skills for accurate data entry and concise documentation
- Timely execution of multiple project objectives
- Ability to display a degree of flexibility regarding changing project priorities
- Perform assignments as delegated by immediate Supervisor
- Knowledge of MSOffice Software application
