Fashion Merchandiser – Job Role & Responsibilities1. Key Responsibilities

- Product Planning: Identify which clothing styles, designs, colours, fabrics, and sizes should be developed based on market demand.
- Trend Research: Research fashion trends, competitors, customer preferences, and seasonal collections.
- Merchandise Selection: Plan product collections for men’s wear, women’s wear, accessories, or other fashion categories.
- Vendor & Supplier Coordination: Communicate with manufacturers, fabric suppliers, and vendors to ensure quality and timely delivery.
- Costing & Pricing: Calculate product costs, margins, and selling prices.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock availability, sizes, best-selling products, and slow-moving inventory.
- Production Follow-up: Track samples, production timelines, quality checks, and delivery schedules.
- Sales Analysis:



Analyse sales reports to identify best-selling products and plan future collections.
- E-commerce Coordination: Update product details, prices, stock, images, and product listings on platforms such as Shopify.
- Visual Merchandising: Coordinate product presentation, displays, styling, and collection layouts where required.
