Job Title: Façade Designer

About the Role

Aluminium Innovation is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Façade Designer to develop façade design solutions for commercial and residential building projects. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in aluminium and glass façade systems, technical drawings, design detailing, and coordination with project and execution teams.

The candidate will be responsible for translating architectural concepts into practical, accurate, and technically feasible façade drawings while ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and installation requirements.

Roles and Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed façade drawings, shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation drawings for aluminium and glass systems.
- Develop designs for curtain walls, aluminium windows and doors, structural glazing, ACP cladding, louvers, and other façade systems.
- Interpret architectural drawings, elevations, sections, and project specifications to develop façade solutions.
- Prepare detailed plans, sections, elevations, connection details, and fixing details.
- Develop aluminium profiles, glass specifications, brackets, anchors, and hardware detailing as per project requirements.
- Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, project managers, fabrication teams, and site engineers.
- Review architectural and structural drawings to identify design clashes and technical discrepancies.
- Incorporate design revisions based on client comments, consultant feedback, and site requirements.
- Ensure accuracy of dimensions, material specifications, tolerances, and fabrication details.
- Prepare material take-offs, cutting lists,



and Bill of Quantities (BOQ), wherever required.
- Support the estimation and procurement teams by providing technical details and material specifications.
- Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, applicable standards, and façade system requirements.
- Provide technical support to site and installation teams for resolving design-related issues.
- Maintain drawing registers, revision histories, and project documentation.
- Ensure timely submission of drawings in accordance with project schedules.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical field.
- 6–8 years of experience in façade design, preferably in aluminium and glass façade systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
- Knowledge of Revit, SolidWorks, or other relevant design software is an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of aluminium profiles, curtain wall systems, structural glazing, ACP cladding, and aluminium windows and doors.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, elevations, sections, and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of façade shop drawings, fabrication details, fixing systems, and installation methods.
- Familiarity with glass specifications, hardware, brackets, anchors, and aluminium fabrication processes.
- Ability to prepare BOQs,



material take-offs, and cutting lists.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and technical drawing skills.
- Valuable communication and coordination skills to work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Experience working with aluminium façade contractors, façade consultants, or aluminium fabrication companies.
- Exposure to commercial buildings, residential high-rises, villas, and other building projects.
- Understanding of façade installation processes and practical site constraints.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and drawing revisions simultaneously.
- A proactive approach to identifying design issues and providing cost-effective technical solutions.
