Berkley Hyundai is seeking an experienced, analytical, and result-oriented Evaluator Manager to lead vehicle evaluation operations and support the growth of our pre-owned car business in Chandigarh.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the used-car evaluation process, ensuring accurate, consistent, and market-aligned vehicle valuations.
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical condition, body damage, accident history, repainting, structural repairs, odometer discrepancies, and overall quality.
- Assess vehicle condition, ownership history, service records, documentation, and market demand before finalizing evaluations.
- Determine competitive acquisition prices based on vehicle condition, age, mileage, model, market trends, and expected reconditioning costs.
- Negotiate purchase prices with customers, vendors, and exchange customers to achieve profitable acquisition targets.
- Manage exchange evaluations for new-car customers and coordinate with the Sales and Used Car teams.
- Supervise vehicle evaluators and ensure compliance with standard inspection and documentation procedures.
- Coordinate with workshop teams for technical inspections, repair estimates, and reconditioning requirements.
- Monitor evaluation accuracy, vehicle acquisition volumes, stock quality, turnaround time, and profitability.
- Maintain accurate evaluation reports, vehicle records, pricing data, and supporting documentation.




- Track local used-car market trends and competitor pricing to improve sourcing and inventory decisions.
- Ensure transparency, ethical practices, and customer satisfaction throughout the evaluation process.

Desired Candidate Profile

- Graduate in any discipline; an automobile or technical qualification will be an advantage.
- Relevant experience in used-car evaluation, automobile dealerships, vehicle inspection, or pre-owned car operations.
- Solid knowledge of vehicle mechanics, body condition assessment, accident identification, and vehicle documentation.
- Understanding of used-car pricing, depreciation, market valuation, and reconditioning costs.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage a team, meet acquisition targets, and work in a performance-driven environment.
- Familiarity with vehicle evaluation tools, dealership systems, and MS Office.
- Knowledge of the Chandigarh, Mohali, and Panchkula used-car market will be an advantage.
