CGH EARTH EXPERIENCE HOTEL

Dasada

CGH Earth is a globally recognized pioneer in sustainable, responsible, and environmentally conscious tourism. Every property under the CGH Earth umbrella is rooted heavily in ecological protection, deep community engagement, and authentic local heritage preservation. The upcoming luxury boutique wilderness resort in Dasada, Gujarat (Rann Riders by CGH Earth), operates directly on the edge of the environmentally sensitive wildlife ecosystem of the Little Rann of Kutch.

The property features a mix of traditional vernacular architecture (comprehensively upgraded Kooba structures of the Bajania and Bhunga structures of the Rabari shepherds) operating concurrently with modern, premium luxury infrastructure. This includes high-end private guest cottages, advanced zero-plastic water bottling plants, custom eco-friendly 'Desjoyaux' swimming pools, and intricate rainwater harvesting systems. The engineering team serves as the structural custodian of this eco-balance, ensuring uninterrupted luxury operations with minimal environmental impacts.

2.

Core Job

Purpose The Engineering Supervisor serves as the primary technical pivot, bridging strategic management objectives with frontline operational execution. Operating on a rotating shift basis, the Supervisor is directly responsible for coordinating daily operations, managing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) infrastructure, maintaining property-wide assets, and ensuring strict adherence to CGH Earth's uncompromising environmental practices. This role drives immediate breakdown resolution, enforces planned preventive maintenance (PPM) frameworks, protects safety standards, and ensures flawless visual and operational guest delivery.

3. Detailed Areas of Key Responsibility

A. Daily Engineering Operations & Shift Leadership

· Shift Handovers & Briefings: Lead mandatory shift briefings, review the operational logbook, cross-examine pending tickets, and systematically allocate duty areas to Technicians and Multi-Skilled Associates.

· Rapid Guest Service Recovery: Act as the first line of emergency contact for guest complaints. Enforce a strict fifteen-minute operational window for initial inspection and rapid deployment of technicians to guest cottages.

· Comprehensive Public Space Audits: Conduct visual and technical checklists across public spaces, including the central Flamingo Restaurant, alfresco pool-side dining decks, remote bush-meal venues, and landscaped guest walkways.

· Logistics & Command Controls: Sign off on job completion logs, inspect tradesmen's work quality, and ensure the engineering control center and staff areas are maintained cleanly.

B. Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) & Asset Protection

· Comprehensive Cottage PPM: Coordinate and personally audit the room-preventive maintenance cycles,

verifying optimal operations of split air-conditioning units, digital safes, mini-fridges, water heaters, and structural bathroom seals.

· Power & Utility Infrastructure Upkeep: Conduct scheduled routine inspections on the resort's heavy-duty electrical distribution panels, backup Diesel Generator (DG) systems, and automatic transfer switches.

· Hydraulic & Pumping Operations: Oversee the structural soundness, lubrication, and valve seals of all freshwater pumps, deep borewells, agricultural irrigation loops, and emergency fire hydrant water lines.

· Traditional Structural Upkeep: Coordinate touch-up maintenance schedules with local vernacular artisans to preserve delicate thatch roofing, mud finishes, and exposed woodwork on heritage structures.

C. Eco-Sustainability Stewardship & Resource Tracking

· Zero-Plastic Bottling Plant: Daily monitor and log water output parameters, automated glass cleaning sterilization steps, and chemical-free filtration elements of the resort's dedicated on-site drinking water bottling plant.

· Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) Integrity: Enforce strict biological and chemical balances within the STP. Track output clarity logs to verify all treated greywater meets safety regulations before reuse in garden irrigation grids.

· Solar Power Grid Upkeep: Manage physical washing and dust-clearance schedules for solar panel arrays to guarantee optimal photovoltaic energy absorption in the dusty environment of the Rann.

· Granular Utility Metric Logging: Audit and file daily water table usage, main grid energy draws, diesel reserves, and waste distribution data to support corporate transparency metrics.

D. Specialized Resort Asset Controls

· Low-Chlorine Swimming Pools: Oversee water chemical parameters for the premium 'Desjoyaux' single-skin shell pools. Test pH balance and chemical thresholds to keep skin irritation low while maintaining safety standard sanitation.

· Commercial Kitchen & Live F&B; Upkeep: Direct routine checks across main kitchen hot lines, including specialized tandoor ventilation systems, induction displays, bain-maries, and cold-room compressors.

· Outdoor Skeet & Trap Shooting Ranges: Coordinate mechanical integrity checks on launch carousels, remote release triggers, and safety parameters at the specialized shooting range area by special arrangement.

· Remote Event Technical Setup: Organize mobile wiring networks, sound board setups,

and outdoor emergency lighting arrays for complex events like bush dinners, desert breakfasts, or lakeside parties.

E. Inventory Control, Administration & Work Safety

· Store Spares & Critical Spares Logging: Balance physical counts against computerized logs for high-turnover engineering components like fuses, brass valves, filters, lighting units, and specific tools.

· Vendor & Warranty Supervision: Direct external technical contractors on-site. Track warranty schedules on recently installed chillers, pumps, or vehicles to prevent duplicate maintenance billing.

· Robust Statutory Compliance & Safety: Audit emergency fire escape lights, test central sensor smoke panels, verify staff PPE compliance, and strictly maintain documentation for local government regulatory inspectors.

4. Technical Qualifications & Prerequisites

· Formal Technical Education: Must hold a valid government-approved Industrial Training Institute (ITI) certification, professional Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a highly relevant building-services trade.

· Industry Professional Background: A minimum of 4 to 7 years of active, hands-on facility maintenance experience, with a solid preference for individuals from premium luxury hotels, remote wilderness safari lodges, or heritage resort eco-properties.

· Essential Licensing Credentials: Holding an active, state-approved Electrical Wireman / Competency Supervisor License is highly valued and given immediate priority during the vetting pipeline.

· Deep System Literacy: Proven capability in reading complex commercial single-line diagrams, engineering blueprints, architectural water-flow schematics, and executing troubleshooting steps under time constraints.

5. Environmental & Location Specific Adaptability The engineering supervisor must demonstrate absolute physical resilience and psychological readiness to live and work on-site full-time within a remote rural pocket adjacent to the salt flats of the Little Rann of Kutch (Dasada, Gujarat). The environment experiences intense weather fluctuations, ranging from extreme desert heat in early summer to highly dusty conditions and seasonal monsoon water shifts.

The candidate must possess strong intercultural communication styles to comfortably direct a local grassroots rural workforce while maintaining transparent, articulate corporate synchronization with regional engineering executives.
