About the RoleWe’re looking for an Engineering Manager who combines robust people leadership with hands-on engineering expertise. You’ll lead high-performing teams embedded with clients, drive predictable delivery, maintain high engineering standards, and translate business priorities into reliable technical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities1. Technical Leadership

- Own architecture decisions, challenge assumptions, and mentor senior engineers.
- Establish standards for code quality, testing, security, observability, and AI engineering.
- Oversee cloud architecture, environments, and release pipelines across AWS, Azure, or GCP.

2. Delivery Management

- Own delivery plans, scope, milestones, dependencies, and risks across engagements.
- Drive effective sprint planning, realistic commitments, and predictable releases.
- Identify blockers early, resolve delivery risks, and communicate escalations clearly.

3. AI Engineering Delivery

- Manage AI-specific risks, including model latency, output variability, data dependencies, and evaluation.
- Define realistic AI feature scope with appropriate validation and fallback strategies.
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and guide tooling and resourcing decisions.

4. Client and Stakeholder Management

- Serve as the primary engineering contact for client product managers, directors, and technical leads.
- Communicate technical trade-offs, timelines, and risks in business terms.
- Balance client expectations with team capacity,



delivery commitments, and quality standards.

5. Team Leadership

- Lead one-to-ones, performance feedback, mentoring, and career development.
- Build a culture of accountability, code quality, and continuous improvement.
- Protect engineering focus while managing changing priorities and scope creep.

What We’re Looking For
- 12+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years leading engineering teams in product or consulting environments.
- Strong hands-on engineering skills, including coding, system design, architecture reviews, and code reviews.
- Experience leading teams using React, TypeScript, Node.js or Python, and relational or document databases.
- Proven ownership of end-to-end software delivery, from backlog planning through production release.
- Working knowledge of LLM APIs, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, agent frameworks, and LLM gateways.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), containers, CI/CD, and production operations.
- Excellent client communication, stakeholder management, risk assessment, and scope negotiation skills.
- A practical leadership style that combines clear feedback, sound technical judgement, and delivery accountability.
