Electrical Engineer Solar PMC

Role Overview

AECOM is seeking an Electrical Engineer to monitor installation, testing, commissioning readiness, and SCADA/control system integration for utility-scale Solar PV projects. The role is responsible for field-level surveillance of DC, AC, MV, communication, automation, and control interfaces, ensuring compliance with approved designs, project specifications, and commissioning requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor installation of modules, string wiring, DC cabling, SCBs/SMBs, inverters, IDTs, MV systems, substations, and associated electrical infrastructure.
- Verify installation activities against approved drawings, specifications, ITP requirements, and construction quality standards.
- Monitor SCADA, PPC, RTU, communication systems, metering, protection systems, earthing, lightning protection, and control-panel interfaces.
- Review cable routing, tagging, terminations, fibre-optic connections, communication interfaces, and associated quality records.
- Witness assigned electrical, communication, and control-system testing activities, including alarm, interlock, data-point,



and communication verification checks.
- Coordinate interface issues between electrical, civil, design, commissioning, and construction teams.
- Maintain electrical completion status, field observation reports, punch-list tracking, and test readiness records.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering, or related discipline.
- 5-10 years of experience in utility-scale solar projects, substations, or electrical infrastructure projects.
- Experience with SCADA, PLC systems, automation, PPC, RTU, and substation control systems.
- Exposure to large-scale solar parks and renewable energy projects preferred.
