Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable DP Biology Environmental Systems Societies Teacher to join our dynamic IB faculty team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the IB Diploma Programme (DP) curriculum, with the ability to inspire students through inquiry-based learning and real-world scientific exploration. This role requires a balance of subject expertise, innovative pedagogy, and a commitment to fostering students critical thinking and scientific curiosity.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the IB Diploma Programme Biology + ESS curriculum.
- Create an inquiry-driven classroom environment that promotes conceptual understanding and student-led learning.
- Design and assess formative and summative tasks in accordance with IB assessment criteria.
- Guide students in planning and executing their Internal Assessments (IAs) and Extended Essays (EE) related to Biology.
- Integrate technology, experiments,



and cross-disciplinary learning in classroom instruction.
- Maintain accurate student records, grades, and progress reports.
- Provide academic mentorship and pastoral care to students.
- Participate in curriculum review, collaborative planning, and IB training workshops.
- Contribute to school-wide initiatives, events, and professional development activities.
- Uphold the school s values of integrity, respect, and lifelong learning in all interactions.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

- Master s or Bachelor s degree in Biology, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- Teaching qualification or certification (B.Ed./IB educator training preferred).
- 2-4 years of experience teaching Biology, preferably in an IB or international school setting.
- Strong understanding of IB DP standards and assessment frameworks.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
- Proficient in integrating digital tools and online learning platforms.
- Passion for inquiry-based education and student-centered pedagogy.

Work Time
