Role Description The Director of Housekeeping is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Bengaluru, responsible for overseeing all housekeeping operations across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. This role includes managing housekeeping and laundry teams, setting cleaning standards, scheduling staff, and ensuring all areas meet brand and safety guidelines. The Director of Housekeeping collaborates closely with Front Office and Engineering to coordinate room readiness, maintenance, and special projects.

They monitor inventory, control departmental budgets, and implement cost-effective practices without compromising quality. The role also focuses on guest satisfaction,



handling feedback, driving service improvements, and training team members to deliver a consistently high level of cleanliness and personalized service.

Qualifications

- Strong supervisory skills to lead, train, and motivate housekeeping and laundry teams, including performance management and workforce planning.
- Proven experience in guest satisfaction and customer service, with the ability to handle feedback, resolve issues, and maintain luxury service standards.
- Hands-on knowledge of housekeeping and laundry operations, including cleaning procedures, equipment use, and hygiene and safety compliance.
- Budgeting and cost-control skills to manage departmental expenses, inventory, and productivity while meeting financial targets.
- Previous experience in a senior housekeeping role within luxury hotels or resorts; convention hotel experience is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and interact with diverse guests.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on quality and efficiency.
- Diploma or degree in Hotel Management or a related field preferred, or equivalent qualified experience.
