Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Design Engineer with hands-on experience in AutoCAD and the design of Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP), and Water Treatment Plants (WTP). The candidate will be responsible for preparing engineering drawings, plant layouts, process flow diagrams, equipment layouts, hydraulic calculations, BOQs, and technical documentation to support project execution.

The ideal candidate should have solid AutoCAD skills, an understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes, and the ability to coordinate with project, sales, and execution teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Engineering Design & Drawings

- Prepare 2D engineering drawings and layouts using AutoCAD.
- Develop plant layout drawings, General Arrangement (GA) drawings, equipment layouts, and piping layouts.
- Prepare Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs;).
- Prepare piping isometric drawings and fabrication drawings wherever required.
- Develop civil, mechanical, and equipment arrangement drawings for STP, ETP, and WTP projects.
- Revise drawings based on client comments and project requirements.

2. STP/ETP/WTP Process Design

- Assist in designing water and wastewater treatment systems.
- Perform hydraulic calculations, equipment sizing, and basic process calculations.
- Understand treatment technologies such as MBBR, SBR, ASP, MBR, UF, and RO.
- Support the selection and sizing of pumps, blowers, tanks, filters, and other treatment equipment.
- Prepare technical specifications and equipment datasheets.

3. BOQ & Technical Documentation

- Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ), material take-offs, and equipment lists.
- Develop technical documents, design calculations, and project drawings.
- Assist in preparing technical proposals,



tender documents, and techno-commercial submissions.
- Coordinate with vendors for equipment specifications and technical drawings.

4. Project Coordination

- Coordinate with civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation teams.
- Work closely with project managers, sales engineers, and site engineers.
- Provide engineering support during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure drawings and documents are delivered within project deadlines.

Required Technical Skills

- AutoCAD 2D: Mandatory
- Knowledge of plant layouts, piping layouts, and engineering drawings.
- Understanding of STP, ETP, and WTP processes.
- Ability to prepare GA drawings, PFDs, P&IDs;, and BOQs.
- Knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office for calculations and documentation.
- Familiarity with hydraulic calculations, equipment sizing, and technical specifications.

Additional Skills (Preferred):

- AutoCAD 3D, SolidWorks, or Revit.
- Knowledge of wastewater treatment process design software or hydraulic modelling tools.
- Familiarity with CPHEEO guidelines and applicable CPCB/SPCB requirements.

Educational Qualification

- B.E./B.Tech in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Relevant diploma holders with strong design experience may also be considered.

Experience

- Freshers with strong AutoCAD skills and relevant project knowledge may apply.
- Candidates with 1–5 years of experience in STP, ETP, WTP, or industrial EPC projects are preferred.

- Strong technical drawing and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to project deadlines.
- Willingness to visit project sites when required.
