- Design and develop sheet metal parts and assemblies using SolidWorks

- Create 2D drawings, 3D models, and fabrication drawings

- Prepare BOMs, flat patterns, and DXF files for manufacturing

- Ensure designs are compliant with manufacturing and assembly requirements

- Work with production teams for DFM (Design for Manufacturing)

- Modify and optimize existing designs based on cost, quality, and performance

- Coordinate with vendors for tooling, fabrication, and feasibility

- Support prototype development and production troubleshooting

- Follow company design standards and documentation procedures

Technical Skills Required

- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (Sheet Metal module mandatory)

- Positive knowledge of:

- Sheet metal fabrication processes (bending, punching, laser cutting, welding)

- Tolerances and GD&T; (basic to intermediate)

- Materials (MS, SS, Aluminum, GI, etc.)

- Experience in 2D detailing and manufacturing drawings
