Role Description The Derivatives Trader at OneScalp is a full-time, remote role responsible for executing and managing trades across derivatives markets, including futures and options. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing, testing, and refining trading strategies, monitoring market conditions, and adjusting positions to manage risk and optimize performance.

The trader will leverage OneScalp’s proprietary tools and AI-powered systems to identify opportunities, enhance execution quality, and maintain a disciplined trading approach. Collaboration with product and quant teams to provide feedback on trading tools and contribute to strategy innovation is expected. The role also involves maintaining thorough trading records, adhering to compliance guidelines,



and continuously improving trading methodologies.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Trading and Futures Trading, with demonstrated experience in high-frequency or derivatives-focused environments.
- Candidates should possess skills in Trading Strategies and Hedging, including designing, implementing, and optimizing systematic or discretionary approaches to risk and return.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Commodity Markets and related derivatives, with the ability to analyze market drivers, volatility, and liquidity.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including proficiency with trading platforms, market data tools, and basic programming or scripting for analysis (e.g., Python, Excel).
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, make time-sensitive decisions under pressure, and maintain disciplined risk management practices.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with product, technology, and risk teams, and for documenting strategies and trade rationales.
- Prior experience in proprietary trading, hedge funds, or broker-dealer environments is beneficial; familiarity with AI-driven or algorithmic trading tools is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in professional trading.
