Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Cutting Master for our ladies' garment manufacturing unit. The candidate should have robust knowledge of fabric cutting, pattern placement, marker making, fabric utilization, and cutting operations for various types of ladies' garments while maintaining quality and production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle all cutting department activities for ladies' garments.
- Understand patterns, measurements, size specifications, and garment construction requirements.
- Prepare fabric spreading, marker placement, and cutting plans.
- Ensure maximum fabric utilization and minimize fabric wastage.
- Carry out accurate cutting as per approved patterns and production requirements.
- Handle different fabrics, including cotton, rayon, georgette, crepe, polyester, and other fashion fabrics.
- Manage fabric inspection, shrinkage checks, and fabric relaxation wherever required.
- Ensure cut panels are accurate, properly numbered, bundled, and sent to the stitching department.
- Coordinate with the sampling,



production, merchandising, and stitching teams.
- Maintain cutting quality, production targets, and delivery schedules.
- Supervise cutting helpers and other cutting department staff.
- Ensure proper maintenance and safe handling of cutting tools and machines.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Cutting Master in a ladies' garment factory.
- Good knowledge of ladies' wear such as kurtis, dresses, tops, blouses, skirts, and other fashion garments.
- Strong understanding of patterns, grading, marker making, fabric spreading, and cutting techniques.
- Ability to work with woven and knitted fabrics, as applicable to the factory's product range.
- Knowledge of fabric consumption and wastage control.
- Good leadership, problem-solving, with ideas and time-management skills.
- Ability to meet production deadlines without compromising quality.
