About the role

We’re looking for an experienced financial services skilled with a strong asset management background and expertise in investment products, who can independently drive business growth, distribution partnerships and fund raising in India. The role combines product strategy, investor relations and regulatory oversight. It isn’t purely sales-oriented.

What you’ll do

- Build and strengthen distribution networks with banks, wealth managers, financial intermediaries, family offices and other strategic partners across India
- Grow and manage our existing distributor partnerships with international fund managers
- Develop relationships with HNIs, UHNIs and institutional investors
- Lead the process from first meeting to onboarding, including pitch materials, presentations and follow-up
- Build and maintain a clear distribution pipeline, and report on progress, targets and market feedback to the CEO
- Identify new markets, distribution channels and partnerships to expand our presence in India
- Act as Principal Officer for GIFT City operations, subject to applicable regulatory requirements and approvals
- Coordinate with regulators and internal teams on compliance matters
- Over time, help shape our product offering based on what Indian investors and distributors want
- Travel extensively across India

What you’ll bring





- Strong experience in an AMC or comparable investment management institution, preferably 5+ years
- An established network among Indian distributors, wealth managers, family offices or institutional investors
- A track record of winning distribution partnerships, raising assets and investor relations
- Strong understanding of fund products
- Working knowledge of FEMA, LRS, ODI and Indian financial regulations
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to work independently and manage senior stakeholders
- A professional qualification, postgraduate degree or diploma in finance, law, accountancy, management, economics or a related field, or CFA or FRM

Advantageous

- Familiarity with the GIFT City/IFSCA framework and cross-border fund distribution
- Experience selling feeder funds or international fund platforms to Indian clients
- A strong academic background from a premier institution
