Role Description The Continental Chef role is a full-time, on-site position located in the Pune Division. The chef is responsible for planning, preparing, and presenting a variety of continental dishes, ensuring consistent quality, taste, and visual appeal. Daily tasks include menu planning, mise en place, cooking à la carte and buffet items, monitoring food safety and hygiene standards, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness.

The role involves coordinating with the Head Chef and other kitchen team members, managing inventory,



and ensuring efficient use of ingredients and resources.

The Continental

Chef may also support training of junior staff, contribute to new recipe development, and assist in maintaining cost control and portion standards.

Qualifications

- Culinary skills in continental cuisine, including expertise in grilling, roasting, sautéing, sauces, and plating.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards, with the ability to follow hotel or cruise line procedures.
- Experience in a professional kitchen in hotels, restaurants, or cruise lines, preferably in a continental or multi-cuisine setup.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to handle high-volume service, maintain quality under pressure, and adapt menus to guest preferences and dietary needs.
- Formal culinary education or qualified chef certification is preferred; equivalent hands-on experience will be considered.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by hotel and hospitality operations.
- Basic knowledge of kitchen inventory management, portion control, and cost awareness.
