Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled, energetic, and passionate North Indian Commis 1 to join the culinary team at our resort. In this role, you will assist the senior chefs in preparing authentic, high-quality North Indian and tandoor dishes, managing your section efficiently, and maintaining strict standards of hygiene, taste, and presentation for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

- Food Preparation &
- Production:

- Prepare daily mise en place (chopping, portioning, marinades, base gravies, and sauces) for North Indian curries, tandoor items, and breads (naan, roti).

- Cook and plate North Indian dishes strictly according to standardized resort recipes and quality benchmarks.

- Station Management:

- Independently handle or assist in managing the North Indian / Tandoor section during peak lunch, dinner, and banquet/buffet services.

- Support bulk and specialized cooking for resort events, parties, and outdoor catering.

- Inventory &

- Stock Control:

- Check daily raw material and ingredient stocks for your section.

- Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) rules,



properly label and date food items, and report shortages to the Chef de Partie.

- Hygiene &

- Safety:

- Maintain clean, sanitized, and organized work stations and equipment.

- Adhere strictly to HACCP, food safety, and kitchen hygiene regulations.

Requirements &

- Qualifications

- Education: Diploma or degree in Hotel Management / Culinary Arts is an advantage (or proven hands-on experience).

- Experience: Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience as a Commis 1 or Commis 2 in North Indian/Tandoor cuisine within hotels, resorts, or restaurants.

- Skills:

- Positive working knowledge of Indian spices, gravies, tandoor/grill handling, and regional North Indian recipes.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure resort kitchen environment.

- Flexibility to work in-rotation shifts

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹24,000.00 per month
