Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Civil QA/QC Engineer with a minimum of 8 years of experience in construction projects to ensure that all civil and structural works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and applicable codes. The candidate will be responsible for implementing quality control procedures, conducting site inspections, coordinating material testing, managing quality documentation, and ensuring timely closure of non-conformities.

Key Responsibilities1. Quality Assurance & Quality Control

- Implement and maintain the project Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) plan.
- Ensure all civil and structural works comply with approved drawings, technical specifications, method statements, and applicable codes and standards.
- Monitor quality during execution of excavation, foundations, PCC, RCC, reinforcement, shuttering, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, flooring, and finishing works.
- Ensure construction activities are carried out as per approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
- Conduct routine site inspections and verify compliance with quality requirements.

1. Inspection & Testing

- Inspect reinforcement, formwork, concrete pouring, embedded items, and other civil construction activities.
- Coordinate concrete cube testing, slump tests, soil compaction tests, and other relevant material tests.
- Verify material test certificates, laboratory reports, and compliance with approved material specifications.
- Ensure proper inspection and approval of incoming construction materials.
- Coordinate with third-party testing agencies, consultants, and client representatives.

1. Documentation & Reporting





- Prepare and maintain Inspection Requests (IRs), Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), checklists, and quality records.
- Maintain Material Inspection Requests (MIRs), test reports, calibration records, and material approval documents.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports.
- Maintain quality documentation in accordance with project requirements and ISO 9001 principles.
- Ensure all approved drawings, method statements, and specifications are available at the site.

1. Non-Conformance & Corrective Actions

- Identify, document, and report non-conformities (NCRs) during construction activities.
- Coordinate root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Follow up on quality observations and ensure timely closure of NCRs.
- Identify recurring quality issues and recommend preventive measures to avoid rework.

1. Coordination & Team Management

- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, planning teams, contractors, consultants, and client representatives.
- Guide site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors on quality requirements and inspection procedures.
- Attend quality meetings and client/consultant inspections.
- Ensure quality hold points and witness points are followed before proceeding with subsequent activities.
- Support internal and external quality audits.

1. Quality Improvement & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with relevant IS codes, project specifications, and applicable statutory requirements.
- Promote quality awareness among construction teams.
- Monitor workmanship and minimize defects, rework, and material wastage.




- Support project handover by preparing quality dossiers, as-built documentation, and final inspection records.

Educational Qualification
- B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering from a recognized university or institution.

Experience Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in civil construction QA/QC.
- Proven experience in managing quality control activities at construction project sites.
- Experience in RCC, structural concrete, foundations, and finishing works.
- Experience in dealing with clients, consultants, third-party laboratories, and subcontractors.
- Preference for candidates with experience in industrial, commercial, residential, infrastructure, or large-scale construction projects.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of civil construction materials, workmanship, and testing procedures.
- Valuable understanding of QA/QC plans, ITPs, method statements, NCRs, and corrective action procedures.
- Working knowledge of relevant IS codes and project quality specifications.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and preparation of quality reports.
- Strong inspection, documentation, communication, and coordination skills.
- Ability to independently manage site quality activities and meet project deadlines.
