Role & responsibilities

Production &

• Operations Leadership • Own and drive overall production planning, execution, and capacity utilisation across all manufacturing facilities.

- Ensure smooth, predictable plant operations with minimal downtime and optimal equipment effectiveness.
- Lead expansion, ramp-up, and stabilisation of existing and new production lines to support business growth. Quality, Safety &
- Compliance • Establish and sustain a solid quality culture with zero tolerance for critical defects or safety lapses.
- Ensure adherence to all customer, statutory, safety, and regulatory requirements across plants.
- Drive continuous improvement in product quality, customer satisfaction, and audit outcomes.

Vendor

Development &

• Supply Chain • Build a resilient, high-quality vendor ecosystem capable of supporting scale and cost competitiveness.
- Strengthen vendor performance through structured development programs, long term partnerships, and alternate sourcing strategies.
- Ensure continuity of supply for all critical materials and components. Cost, Productivity &
- Margin Management • Drive operational efficiency to reduce manufacturing and procurement costs without compromising quality or safety.
- Improve productivity across manpower, machines, and materials.
- Strengthen inventory management and working capital efficiency.

Process

Excellence, Standardisation &
- Digitisation • Implement standard operating procedures across all plants to ensure consistency and scalability.
- Lead Lean, Kaizen, TPM,



and automation initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and cost.
- Drive digitisation of production, quality, and operational dashboards for real-time visibility and decision-making.

People

Leadership &

• Capability Building • Build a strong second-line leadership pipeline across plant, quality, and operations functions.
- Coach and develop Plant Heads and functional leaders to operate with ownership and accountability.
- Foster a performance-driven, safety-conscious, and people-centric culture across operations.

Strategic

Execution &

• Growth Enablement • Partner with the leadership team, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business strategy into operational execution.
- Ensure timely and cost-effective launch of new products, lines, and technologies.
- Act as a key contributor to long-term capacity planning and operational strategy.

Preferred candidate profile

Experience & Background • 22+ years of experience in Auto-component manufacturing / operations leadership roles. • Proven track record of managing multi-plant operations in automotive, energy, or industrial manufacturing environments. • Hands-on experience in scaling operations during high-growth phases.

Technical & Functional Expertise • Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems, quality management, vendor development, and supply chain operations. • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, automation, and digital transformation initiatives.
