About the Role The Chief of Staff will be a high-visibility strategic role working directly with the Managing Director (MD) and acting as a key analytical, business intelligence and execution partner to the MD Office. The incumbent will provide a consolidated view of business performance by bringing together data, insights and updates from multiple functions. The role will analyze business performance, identify trends, gaps, risks and opportunities, and translate complex information into concise, management-ready insights that enable faster and better decision-making.

It combines Business Intelligence, Business Analytics, Management Reporting, Strategic Planning, Program Management and Executive Decision Support, while tracking critical strategic initiatives through to closure.

Key Responsibilities

- Business Intelligence & Management Reporting: Develop and maintain business MIS, management dashboards, performance scorecards and executive reports for the MD; consolidate information across Sales, Finance, Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Projects, Service and other key functions; track performance against plans, targets, budgets and strategic priorities; and continuously improve management reporting for clarity and decision usefulness.
- Business Analytics & Insights: Analyze business and operational data to identify trends, gaps, risks, opportunities and performance drivers. Conduct revenue, sales, profitability, cost and operational analyses; identify deviations from targets and underlying causes; develop actionable recommendations; and support forecasting, scenario analysis and business modelling.
- MD / Leadership Support: Act as a strategic business support partner to the MD. Prepare briefs, presentations, dashboards and decision notes; support evaluation of business proposals and strategic initiatives; coordinate information from functions; track decisions and commitments from leadership reviews; and ensure timely follow-through while maintaining confidentiality.
- Market Intelligence & Trend Analysis: Monitor industry, market, competitor, technology and regulatory developments relevant to Renewable Energy, Solar, EV Charging, Power and adjacent sectors. Conduct competitor benchmarking and market analysis and translate external developments into concise implications and recommendations for leadership.
- Cross-Functional Business Monitoring: Work closely with functional and business heads to understand performance, challenges, dependencies and priorities. Establish structured KPI tracking, identify bottlenecks and execution gaps, validate data, facilitate cross-functional coordination and escalate critical issues requiring MD intervention.
- Program / Strategic Initiative Management: Support selected strategic projects,



transformation programs and high-priority business initiatives. Translate priorities into structured programs with objectives, milestones, ownership and timelines; establish governance and trackers; review risks and dependencies; drive accountability; and prepare executive status updates.

- Business intelligence & analytics: Strong ability to analyze complex business information, identify patterns and translate data into commercially relevant insights.
- Management reporting & MIS: Strong experience developing executive dashboards, KPI scorecards, business MIS and management presentations.
- Strategic & commercial thinking: Ability to understand how business functions connect and evaluate issues from an enterprise-wide perspective.
- Program management: Strong capability in managing cross-functional initiatives, milestones, dependencies, risks, action trackers and stakeholder follow-ups.
- Financial & business acumen: Ability to interpret revenue, profitability, cost, budgets, forecasts and other financial/business indicators.
- Data visualization & reporting: Robust working knowledge of Advanced Excel and PowerPoint; exposure to Power BI, Tableau or similar BI tools preferred.
- Executive communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication with the ability to convert complex information into crisp, management-ready communication.
- Stakeholder management & problem solving: Ability to work effectively with the MD, CXOs and functional heads, diagnose business problems, challenge assumptions and drive outcomes through influence.

Essential Experience

- Minimum 5+ years of relevant professional experience in Business Intelligence, Business Analytics, Management Reporting, MIS, Strategy, Business Planning, Program Management, Management Consulting, CEO/MD Office or similar strategic/analytical roles.
- Demonstrated experience analyzing business performance and preparing management-level reports, dashboards, presentations and decision-support material.
- Strong experience working with cross-functional business data and translating it into meaningful insights and recommendations.
- Experience managing or tracking strategic projects, business initiatives or cross-functional programs.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint is essential.
- Graduate/Postgraduate qualification in Management, Finance,



Economics, Engineering, Business Analytics, Statistics or a related discipline from a recognized institution. MBA/PGDM or equivalent postgraduate management qualification preferred.

Desirable

- Prior experience working directly with a Managing Director, CEO, CXO, Business Head or senior leadership team.
- Experience in a CEO/MD Office, Strategy Office, Business Excellence, Corporate Planning or Transformation Office.
- Experience in Manufacturing, Renewable Energy, Solar, EV, Power, Electrical/Electronics, Technology, Infrastructure or a diversified business environment.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau or similar business intelligence tools and exposure to financial modelling, forecasting, budgeting or profitability analysis.
- Exposure to market research, competitor benchmarking, industry intelligence and transformation programs involving multiple functions.
