Role Description The Chartered Accountant will work full time on-site from IndiLedger’s Delhi office. The role involves managing end-to-end accounting for international clients, including bookkeeping, general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end and year-end closing activities. The person in this role will prepare and review financial statements, support audits, ensure adherence to relevant accounting standards, and manage tax-related computations and compliance as needed.

Daily responsibilities also include reviewing client data for accuracy, handling cleanups and catch-up accounting, coordinating with client teams across time zones, and documenting processes and work papers.

Accountant will collaborate closely with internal team members to meet service-level commitments and contribute to process improvements and quality controls.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong core accounting skills, including general ledger accounting, financial statement preparation, reconciliations, and month-end close.
- Candidates should possess proficiency with cloud-based accounting platforms such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, and NetSuite or similar systems.
- Candidates should possess skills in financial analysis, reporting, and data interpretation to support business insights and client decision-making.
- Candidates should possess capabilities in audit support, documentation of work papers, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting and regulatory standards.
- Candidates should possess excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills to handle multiple client accounts and deadlines.
- Candidates should possess strong written and verbal communication skills for working with international clients and collaborating within the team.
- Candidates should possess adaptability to work with cross-border accounting practices and comfort with different time zones and client requirements.
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with relevant post-qualification experience in public accounting, shared services, or outsourcing environments is preferred.
- Experience with US or UK accounting, tax, and compliance frameworks, and prior work in an offshore or international accounting setup will be beneficial.
