About Us

Divine Heart Hospital is a dedicated 110-bed heart hospital in Lucknow, accredited for DrNB in CVTS and Cardiology. We provide advanced cardiac surgical care to adult and paediatric patients, with contemporary cardiac OTs, a cath lab and a dedicated cardiac ICU.

Role Overview

We need an experienced Cardiac Surgeon who can operate independently on both adult and paediatric patients. The surgeon will head our second CVTS unit and lead its surgical team, outcomes and academic work.

Key Responsibilities

Perform adult cardiac surgeries independently:

CABG, both on-pump and off-pump (OPCAB)

Valve repair and replacement (MVR, AVR, DVR)

Aortic surgeries

Redo procedures

Perform paediatric and congenital heart surgeries independently: ASD, VSD, TOF, PDA ligation, BT shunt and other congenital corrections

Head the second CVTS unit, including OT planning, team supervision, surgical outcomes and unit administration

Manage pre-operative evaluation, case selection and post-operative care in the cardiac ICU

Handle cardiac surgical emergencies and on-call duties





Work closely with the cardiology, anaesthesia, perfusion and critical care teams

Teach and guide DrNB CVTS residents, and lead academic, audit and research activities

Maintain surgical records and follow NABH and hospital protocols

Counsel patients and families before and after surgery

Qualifications

MBBS with MCh / DrNB in CVTS (mandatory)

Valid registration with NMC / UP State Medical Council

Fellowship or training in paediatric cardiac surgery preferred

Experience

Minimum 8–10 years of post-MCh/DrNB experience in cardiac surgery

Proven record of independent adult and paediatric cardiac surgeries, with a good case volume

Experience heading a unit and teaching residents is preferred

Skills

Excellent surgical skills and sound clinical judgement

Leadership and unit management

Good communication with patients, families and the wider team

Teaching aptitude
