Role & responsibilities

- Identify and develop current business opportunities for laboratory testing services.

- Generate leads through market research, cold calling, references, networking, and client visits.

- Conduct regular face-to-face meetings with prospective and existing clients.

- Develop and maintain relationships with clients across food, pharma, FMCG, manufacturing, environmental, and other relevant industries.

- Promote laboratory testing services, including chemical, microbiological, food, water, and environmental testing, as applicable.

- Understand client requirements and coordinate with technical teams to recommend suitable testing services.

- Prepare and share quotations, commercial proposals, and service agreements.

- Negotiate pricing and commercial terms to achieve business targets.

- Follow up on quotations, pending enquiries, and ongoing business opportunities.

- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets and revenue goals.

- Maintain client databases, sales pipelines, visit reports,



and business development MIS.

- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging business opportunities.

- Coordinate with laboratory operations, sample collection, and customer service teams to ensure client satisfaction.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Food Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

- 5-7 years of experience in business development or sales within laboratory testing, TIC (Testing, Inspection and Certification), or a related industry.

- Prior experience with an NABL-accredited laboratory or testing services company will be preferred.

- Business development with a third-party / contract testing laboratory, selling pharmaceutical testing services to customers in regulated markets (US, EU, UK, etc.)
