Role Description This is a full time, on-site Biomedical Engineer role based at NURA’s Kozhikode (Calicut) center.

The Biomedical

Engineer will manage installation, calibration, and routine operation checks of AI-enabled imaging systems and other medical equipment. Daily responsibilities include performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, coordinating with vendors and service providers, and maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation. The role also involves supporting clinical teams in safe and efficient equipment use, contributing to equipment performance evaluations, and ensuring compliance with relevant safety and quality standards.

Engineer will collaborate with healthcare professionals and technical teams to optimize uptime, reliability, and patient safety in all device-related operations.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Biomedical Engineering and Clinical Engineering, with a solid understanding of medical device technologies and healthcare environments.
- Candidates should possess skills in Equipment Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance to ensure reliable performance and minimal downtime of all medical systems.
- Candidates should possess skills related to Medical Equipment management, including installation, calibration, safety checks, and lifecycle oversight.
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Clinical Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation, or a closely related field.
- Experience working with imaging systems or diagnostic medical devices in a hospital, diagnostic center, or similar clinical setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulatory and safety standards, including medical device safety protocols and quality assurance practices.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, with attention to detail and accurate documentation skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with clinical and technical teams, manage multiple priorities, and work on-site in a patient-focused environment.
