Role Description The BIM Engineer role at RDS is a full-time, on-site position based in Chalakkudy. In this role, the BIM Engineer will develop, manage, and coordinate BIM models across disciplines, ensuring accuracy, constructability, and adherence to project standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and updating construction drawings and documentation, collaborating with architecture, civil, and MEP teams, and resolving design and coordination issues within the BIM environment.

The BIM Engineer will support project planning and scheduling activities,



contribute to quantity take-offs and estimates, and assist in maintaining document and model version control. The role also involves working closely with project stakeholders to optimize workflows, improve design quality, and support effective on-site project delivery.

Qualifications

- Strong proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools and workflows, with experience in multi-disciplinary model coordination.
- Ability to produce and interpret detailed Construction Drawings, including shop and as-built documentation.
- Knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) systems and coordination within integrated BIM models.
- Background in Architecture and/or Civil Engineering, with understanding of structural and architectural design principles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with common BIM software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD) and clash detection tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills, with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multi-disciplinary project teams on-site.
- Familiarity with construction planning, scheduling, and quantity surveying is an advantage.
- Previous experience in digital construction or virtual design and construction (VDC) environments is beneficial.
