Team Leader - BESS (PgD) | PMO

Role: Project Lead / PMC Monitoring & Governance

Job Summary: Lead PMC monitoring and coordination of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects from installation through commissioning, integration, performance testing, and handover (HOTO). Ensure project progress, quality, safety, schedule adherence, risk management, and readiness for energization.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and coordinate BESS package execution with OEMs, contractors, and client teams.
- Monitor installation of battery containers, PCS, transformers, MV switchgear, HVAC, fire protection systems, and auxiliaries.
- Oversee EMS/BMS/SCADA integration, commissioning, and performance testing activities.
- Track project schedule, quality, HSE compliance, delivery milestones, and risk mitigation plans.
- Coordinate energization and commissioning readiness across all technical disciplines.




- Provide status reports, risk assessments, and handover recommendations to PMO leadership.

Qualifications:

- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Power Electronics, Electronics & Instrumentation, or Renewable Energy Engineering.
- M.Tech preferred.
- PMP and BESS/OEM safety certifications desirable.

Experience Required:

- Proven leadership experience in grid-scale BESS construction, commissioning, and performance testing.
- Robust knowledge of battery systems, PCS/MV equipment, EMS/BMS/SCADA, fire safety systems, and grid integration.

Client Deliverables:

- BESS status & risk reports.
- Energization and performance test readiness reports.
- Handover (HOTO) and project closeout reports.
