Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Banquet Manager role based at Hotel Centre Point in Nagpur.

The Banquet

Manager oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of banquet events, including weddings, conferences, and corporate gatherings, ensuring high standards of service and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities include managing banquet operations, supervising and scheduling banquet staff, coordinating with the kitchen and food & beverage teams, and maintaining inventory of equipment and supplies. The role also involves liaising with clients to understand event requirements, preparing function sheets, monitoring event setup and breakdown, and resolving any service issues promptly.

Manager contributes to revenue growth by optimizing banquet bookings, controlling costs, and supporting sales and marketing initiatives related to events.

Qualifications

- Strong focus on Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service, with the ability to handle guest feedback and deliver memorable event experiences.
- Excellent Communication skills for coordinating with clients, internal departments, and team members, both verbally and in writing.
- Solid Food & Beverage knowledge to collaborate effectively with culinary teams and ensure appropriate menus, service styles, and quality standards.
- Experience in Hiring, training, and mentoring banquet staff, with the ability to build and lead a high-performing service team.
- Previous experience as a Banquet Manager or in a supervisory role in hospitality or events, preferably in a 4 or 5-star environment.
- Robust organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events and priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and banquet management systems; familiarity with budgeting and cost control is an advantage.
- Diploma or degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or a related field is preferred.
