About the Role

Butterfly Technology LLC is looking for a skilled Backend Developer with hands-on experience in server-side development, API development, database management, and backend architecture.

The ideal candidate should be capable of developing scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems, integrating third-party services, and collaborating with frontend developers to deliver reliable web applications and software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications and services.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate third-party APIs and services.
- Design, manage, and optimize databases, including data models, queries, and relationships.
- Implement authentication, authorization, data validation, and application security.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, UI/UX designers, and other team members to integrate backend services.
- Identify and resolve performance issues, bugs, and technical challenges.
- Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Implement business logic, database operations, and server-side functionalities.
- Work with cloud platforms, deployment environments, and version control systems.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and technical discussions.
- Ensure application performance, reliability, scalability, and data security.
- Manage assigned tasks independently and deliver projects within agreed timelines.

Required Skills & Experience

- Minimum 2+ years of professional experience in backend development.




- Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and Express.js.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
- Experience developing and integrating REST APIs.
- Strong knowledge of databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
- Understanding of database design, schema development, query optimization, and data modeling.
- Experience implementing authentication and authorization using JWT, OAuth, or similar mechanisms.
- Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
- Understanding of asynchronous programming, error handling, and application performance optimization.
- Experience with third-party API integrations and external services.
- Knowledge of application security, debugging, and testing best practices.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Robust problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Redis, background jobs, queues, or caching mechanisms.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and scalable application design.
- Experience working with React.js or other frontend frameworks.
- Experience developing production-ready web applications and SaaS platforms.
