Role & responsibilities

- Plan and execute preventive and breakdown maintenance of tippers, dumpers, LMVs and service vehicles

- Carry out diagnostics, major overhauls and repairs of engines, transmissions, hydraulics and electricals

- Manage the automobile workshop, including manpower, tools, spares and job-card systems

- Monitor tyre life, fuel consumption and lubricant usage; drive cost and efficiency improvements

- Ensure vehicle fitness, insurance, permits and RTO compliance for the full fleet

- Ensure vehicles meet mine safety requirements under MMR 1961 and DGMS guidelines

- Maintain fleet records, availability reports and maintenance MIS

Preferred candidate profile

- B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Automobile Engineering

- 4+ years of experience in fleet / workshop maintenance, preferably in mining, construction or heavy transport

- Hands-on experience with tippers and dumpers of leading OEMs

- Knowledge of RTO procedures and mine vehicle safety norms

- Valuable team handling and planning skills
