About the Role

We are looking for an AI-native Automation Tester with 2+ years of experience who uses AI tools as a core part of the software quality lifecycle—not just as an occasional assistant. You will design, build, and maintain reliable automated tests for web applications and APIs, use AI to accelerate test design and debugging, and work closely with product and engineering teams to improve release quality.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated tests for web applications, APIs, and end-to-end user journeys.
- Build and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript or Python; evaluate tools pragmatically based on product needs.
- Use AI coding assistants and LLMs to generate and refine test cases, create test data, analyse failures, and accelerate debugging—while validating all AI-generated output.
- Translate product requirements, user stories, and bug reports into risk-based test scenarios, edge cases, and regression suites.
- Perform API testing using REST/HTTP, JSON, authentication flows, status codes, and request/response validation.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and help ensure reliable test execution on every relevant build.
- Investigate flaky tests, identify root causes,



report defects with clear reproduction steps, and verify fixes.
- Test AI-enabled features where relevant, including prompt variations, structured outputs, hallucination risks, failure handling, and regression behaviour.
- Collaborate with developers and product managers during planning, code reviews, and release readiness discussions.
- Maintain test documentation, automation coverage, execution reports, and quality metrics.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in software testing, including meaningful test automation work.
- Practical experience with Playwright and JavaScript/TypeScript or Python.
- Strong understanding of test design, functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Experience testing REST APIs and working with JSON, HTTP methods, authentication, and response validation.
- Ability to investigate failures, debug test scripts, and clearly communicate defects.
- A quality-first mindset, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-moving product team.

Preferred Skills

- Daily use of AI coding assistants or LLM tools to support test planning, script authoring, debugging, and documentation.
- Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions,



GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
- Familiarity with Git, SQL/database validation, browser developer tools, and test reporting.
- Understanding of Docker, Linux, test environments, and parallel test execution.
- Exposure to AI/LLM application testing, prompt testing, evaluation datasets, or model-output validation.
- Experience with performance or load testing tools is an advantage.
