Automation Test Engineer - VMware Infrastructure Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in VMware infrastructure testing, Python scripting, Linux, and CI/CD automation. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience testing VMware virtualization environments, including vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter, along with developing automation scripts and integrating test workflows into Jenkins pipelines.

Roles and Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for VMware infrastructure and virtualization platforms.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and system testing of VMware environments.
- Test and validate VMware components, including vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter.
- Develop and maintain test automation frameworks and scripts using Python.
- Perform testing and troubleshooting in Linux environments using command-line tools and shell utilities.
- Configure, execute, and maintain automated test jobs using Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
- Identify, analyze, document, and track defects related to infrastructure, virtualization, and automation.




- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to improve test coverage and product quality.
- Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and prepare test reports and documentation.
- Support continuous testing and automation initiatives to improve testing efficiency.

Mandatory Technical Skills
- Automation Testing: Hands-on experience in test automation and framework development.
- VMware Infrastructure Testing: Strong experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter.
- Python Scripting: Ability to develop and maintain scripts for test automation and infrastructure validation.
- Linux: Good knowledge of Linux commands, operating system concepts, and troubleshooting.
- CI/CD - Jenkins: Experience configuring and executing automated test pipelines using Jenkins.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with virtualization and infrastructure testing.
- Knowledge of REST APIs and infrastructure automation.
- Familiarity with Git or other version control tools.
- Experience with shell scripting (Bash).
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and defect management tools.

Required Experience
- Relevant experience in Automation Testing and VMware Infrastructure Testing.
- Solid hands-on technical expertise in all mandatory skills listed above.
