About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented KYC Audit Executive to support merchant KYC audits for a leading banking client.

The role involves reviewing merchant KYC and AML documentation, checking Merchant Category Codes (MCC), preparing audit observations, coordinating with Payment Aggregators, tracking pending documents and assisting in the preparation of final audit reports.

- Key Responsibilities
- Sample Coordination & Tracking
- Coordinate with Bank team for quarterly merchant sample allocationKYC & AML Review
- Review KYC docs against Board Approved KYC Policy
- Check completeness, validity & relevance of mandatory documents
- Verify AML screening evidence, dates & system records
- Follow up with Payment Aggregators for pending KYC/AML docs (within timelines)

MCC Review

- Match MCC with actual business/line of activity
- Flag prohibited/restricted MCCs & recommend corrective action





Payment Gateway (Website/App) Checks

- Review business details, policies, pricing, checkout flow, SSL/security & functionality

Observations & Reporting

- Draft clear audit observations for gaps found
- Share observations, follow up for clarifications/docs
- Review PA responses & assess closure of observations
- Prepare & update audit reports (KYC, AML, MCC, etc.)

Stakeholder Coordination

- Incorporate Bank audit team's review comments
- Attend weekly status meetings, track action points
- Send weekly status updates till closure
- Identify duplicate samples from previous audits
- Confirm samples & collect documents from stakeholders
- Maintain quarter-wise audit trackers in Excel
