Role Description The Assistant Manager – Operations (Air and Sea) will oversee day-to-day coordination of air and sea freight operations, ensuring shipments are planned, booked, and executed in line with client requirements and company standards. This full-time on-site role, based in the Greater Delhi Area, includes managing documentation, tracking consignments, and liaising with airlines, shipping lines, transport partners, and customs authorities to ensure timely and compliant movement of cargo. The role involves monitoring operational performance, resolving exceptions or delays, and optimizing processes to improve service quality and cost efficiency.

Manager will collaborate closely with internal teams and clients to provide accurate updates, handle queries, and support continuous improvement in operational workflows.

Responsibilities also include maintaining adherence to safety, regulatory, and quality standards and supporting team members through guidance and coordination.

Qualifications

- Strong understanding of air and sea freight operations, including shipment planning, carrier coordination, and end-to-end logistics processes.
- Knowledge of customs procedures, trade compliance, and export/import documentation relevant to international shipping.
- Experience with freight forwarding systems, tracking tools, and basic MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and analysis.
- Effective communication, client service, and stakeholder management skills to interact with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze operational issues, manage priorities, and implement process improvements in a fast-paced setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; relevant certifications in logistics or shipping are an advantage.
- Prior experience in logistics operations, preferably in air and sea freight, with exposure to the Greater Delhi Area market considered beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site, maintain high levels of accuracy and accountability, and uphold ISO 9001:2015 quality standards.
