Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager – EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) to manage plant-wide safety, environmental compliance, risk assessment, and occupational health and safety systems at a precision CNC machining facility.

The ideal candidate will have robust experience in EHS management within a manufacturing environment, knowledge of Indian statutory regulations, and hands-on expertise in industrial safety, compliance audits, incident investigation, and risk management.

Experience in precision machining, aerospace, defence, or metal-cutting manufacturing will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage plant-wide Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) policies, systems, and statutory compliance.
- Conduct safety audits, Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA), and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for CNC machining and manufacturing operations.
- Ensure compliance with the Factories Act, Karnataka Factories Rules, Environment Protection Act, Hazardous Waste Rules, and other applicable regulations.
- Manage Factory License, Pollution Control Board consents (CTE/CTO), Fire NOC, and other statutory approvals and renewals.
- Investigate workplace incidents and near misses, perform root cause analysis, and track corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Implement and maintain ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
- Oversee hazardous material handling, cutting fluids, coolant management, waste disposal, and effluent management.
- Conduct safety training, employee inductions, toolbox talks, and emergency mock drills.




- Maintain EHS documentation and ensure audit readiness for AS9100D and customer audits.
- Monitor EHS KPIs, PPE compliance, machine guarding, workplace ergonomics, and emergency preparedness.
- Coordinate with HR, Operations, and regulatory authorities to strengthen workplace safety standards.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering, Environmental Science, or Industrial Safety.
- A recognised Diploma in Industrial Safety is mandatory.
- 5–8 years of relevant EHS experience, including at least 4 years in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of industrial safety, environmental compliance, and Indian statutory regulations.
- Hands-on experience in HIRA, JSA, safety audits, incident investigation, and risk assessment.
- Knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, Factory License, KSPCB compliance, CTE/CTO, and Fire NOC.
- Familiarity with CNC machines, metal-cutting operations, hazardous waste management, and shop-floor safety.
- Strong documentation, communication, employee training, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred: Experience in aerospace, defence, precision engineering, or CNC machining. NEBOSH or IOSH certification is an added advantage.
