Position: Assistant Manager-CAM Programmer

Department: Tool room / Mould Manufacturing

Experience: 8-10Years

Qualification: Diploma Tool & Die Making, or equivalent

Key Responsibilities

A. CAM Programming:

- Develop CAM programs for VMC and milling machines using Edge Cam and MasterCam
- Program complex mould components, including cores, cavities, inserts, neck rings, and other precision components.
- Optimize machining cycles to improve productivity, tool life, and surface finish.
- Interpret 2D engineering drawings, 3D models, GD&T;, and dimensional tolerances.
- Import and process CAD models using CAM software.
- Reduce machining cycle time through optimized Process.
- Coordinate with design, planning, tool room, and production teams to meet project deadlines and timely completion of mould manufacturing and development projects
- First-time-right machining and rejection Control
- Ensure components meet specified dimensional tolerances and surface finish requirements.




- Coordinate with the quality team for inspection and measurement of machined components.

B. Required Technical Skills

- Hands-on experience with CAM programming for VMC machines.
- Proficiency in CAM software: Power Mill and Edge Cam
- Strong understanding of VMC machining operations, cutting tools, and machining parameters.
- Understanding of mould design, and precision machining.

C. Preferred Experience

- Experience in plastic injection mould manufacturing.
- Experience of PET preform injection mould manufacturing.
- Experience ISBM moulds, blow moulds, caps and closures moulds and precision inserts.

D. Personal Competencies

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Effective coordination with design, machining, and planning teams.
- English proficiency
- Solid Excel skills
