About the Company

Reporting directly to the IT Manager, he will manage, secure, and optimize our enterprise Unix and Windows server environments, core infrastructure, and high-availability ISP communication networks while leading a close-knit team of 5 IT professionals. While reporting to the IT Manager for overall operations and project delivery, he will provide critical functional support to the Information Security Officer (ISO) for ISMS (ISO/IEC 27001) implementation and audits. As an operational leader, he will govern daily service delivery using ITSM frameworks (ITIL) and track asset lifecycles via robust IT Asset Management (ITAM) practices.

He will leverage centralized toolsets like OpenText/Micro Focus Network Operations Management (NOM) alongside 2S/5S methodologies to drive systemic reliability, IT cost reduction, and process automation, while proactively developing team skills and conducting structured training.

Responsibilities

- Key Responsibilities
- 1. Operations & Escalation (Reporting to the IT Manager)
- Keep the IT Manager fully informed of hybrid network health, multi-platform server uptime, security posture, and project milestones through regular structured reporting.




- Serve as the primary escalation point for critical infrastructure incidents, executing rapid remediation and conducting root-cause analyses for the IT Manager's review.
- Align departmental workflows, OS patch schedules, and project timelines with the broader strategic objectives set by the IT Manager.
- - 2. Team Leadership & Skill Development
- Manage, mentor, and direct the 5-person IT infrastructure and technical support team to ensure high operational uptime and prompt service delivery.
- Conduct regular skills gap analyses within the team and design targeted training programs to uplift capabilities in network engineering, hybrid system administration, and security best practices.
- Establish explicit Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), conduct performance evaluations, and foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
- - 3. ITIL/ITSM Operational Governance
- Establish and mature daily IT service operations based on ITSM / ITIL best practices (Incident, Problem, Change, and Request Management).
- Ensure the 5-person team meets or exceeds defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and operational support targets.
- Lead Change Advisory Board (CAB) requests for all infrastructure, network overhauls, and security patches to minimize production disruptions.
- - 4. ITAM (IT Asset Management) & Cost Optimization
- Own the lifecycle management of all hardware, software, and network assets (ITAM), ensuring accurate tracking from procurement to decommissioning.
- Maintain a comprehensive and accurate Configuration Management Database (CMDB) to feed technical state changes directly into operational pipelines.
- Analyze hybrid IT processes and configurations to identify opportunities for cost optimization and waste reduction (re-allocating unused licenses, rightsizing virtual environments, and retiring legacy assets).




- - 5. Network Operations Management (NOM) & ISP Networks
- Administer enterprise multi-vendor routing, switching, and firewall topologies utilizing NOM (Network Operations Management) software suites.
- Leverage NOM to integrate multi-vendor fault detection, performance monitoring, configuration backups, and compliance policy mapping under a centralized dashboard.
- Design, configure, and maintain high-speed ISP communication networks, managing WAN links, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), traffic shaping, and telecom circuit troubleshooting.
- - 6. Unix, Windows & Hybrid Systems Administration
- Administer, configure, and troubleshoot Unix/Linux server environments (e.g., Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS, or AIX) handling critical enterprise workloads and network services.
- Build, deploy, and maintain physical and virtual Windows servers (VMware ESXi or Hyper-V), including Active Directory (AD), GPOs, DNS, and DHCP.
- Oversee automated cross-OS patch management, script-based system tracking, and unified data backup / disaster recovery (DR) protocols.
- - 7. Digitalisation Support & Process Automation
- Identify opportunities to digitize, modernize, and automate legacy manual business processes across departments.
- Leverage automation tools and scripting languages (PowerShell for Windows, Bash/Shell scripting for Unix, Power Automate) to streamline routine IT operations and cross-departmental workflows.
- - 8. Workplace Organization (2S / 5S for IT Infra)
- Apply and sustain 2S (Sort, Set in Order) and the broader 5S framework to physical spaces (server rooms, data centers, cable layouts) and digital workspaces (Active Directory structures, Unix file hierarchies, file shares, and decommissioned assets).
- - 9. Security Administration & ISMS Support (Functional Alignment with ISO)
- Configure next-generation firewalls (NGFW), intrusion detection systems (IDS/IPS), and VPNs across the hybrid network.
